Peterson, Ellen M. - March 31, 1999
Ellen Moran Peerson, 87, of Kiln, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in Picayune.
Mrs. Peterson was a native of Fenton and a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. She was a member of Hancock County Senior Citizens and VDW Post 6285 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavander J. Peterson; her parents, Dazie and Annie Ladner Moran; sons Edgar Peterson and Elgin Peterson; a daughter, Vernell Lee; brothers Elmer Moran, Dantzler Moran and Joseph Moran; and sisters Ada Ladner, Verdine Banes and Bertha Garriga.
Survivors include sons Velton Peterson of Mobile, Ala., Larry Peterson of Kiln; daughters Ann Mae Hosli of Gulfport, Janelle Ladner of Pass Christian, Shirley Bond of Kiln, Murell Stewert of Gulfport and Dianne Necaise of Kiln; sisters Elixabeth Ladner, Melisia Ladner and Lottie Moran , all of Pass Chiritian; 29 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, April 5, 7-10 p.m. at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with recitation of the rosary at 9 p.m. Seervices will be conducted Tuesday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln. A preocession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Alfonse Malley Memorial Cemetery.
