Reeves, Jean Raver - October 29, 1998
Jean Haver Reeves, longtime resident of Bay St. Louis, died Thursday, Oct 29, 1998, in By St. Louis
She was a civic activist and for years voluntered with the League of Women Voters of New Orleans, serving as president. She learned to race sail boats in Bay St. Louis and was an avid croquet and bridge player. She was amember of the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club, the League of Women Voters of Mississippi and the Hancock County Historical Society. She grew up in Yonkers, N.Y. Attended Cornell University and came to New Orleans in 1940.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Michael Reeves.
Survivors include three children, William Dale, Judith Jean and Richard Michael Reeves; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted Oct 31 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.
