Rutherford, Linwood  -  April 21, 1999

Linwood Rutherford, 77, of Waveland, died Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in Bay St. Louis.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Hancock County. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Clare's Catholic Church in Waveland. He was Past Master of Masonic Temple # 429 Bay St. Louis; Shriner, Joppa Temple; and Past Commander of American Legion, Post 77, Waveland. He retired from Chevron USA, Inc. as a field supervisor after 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia LaFontaine Rutherford of Waveland; three sons, Linwood Ruherford, Bay St. Louis, Dennis Rutherford, Waveland; and Scott Rutherford of Pine Mountain, Ga; a daughter, Leja Gibson of Diamondhad; a brother, John D. Rutherford of Bay St. Louis; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John David and Henrietta Favre Rutherford; a son, William Barton Rutherford; five brothers, Selwyn Paatrick, James, Edward and Edwin Rutherford; and three sisters, Glenda and Henrietta Rutherford and Katie Osburn.

Visitaion will be held at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, Bay St. Louis, Thursday, April 22, from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. with Americn Legion serevices at 7:30 p.m. and recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m.

A prayer service will be held at the funeral home chapel Friday, April 23, at 11 a.m., followed by interment with Masonic rites in the Garden of Memory Cemetery, Bay St. Louis.
