Shiyou, J. Royce - February 10, 1997
J. Royce Shiyou, 60, of Kiln, died Monday, Feb 10, 1997, in Gulfport.
Mr. Shiyou was a native and lifelong resident of Kiln. He retired from Coast Electric Power Association after 35 years as safety coordinator and was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Androclous J. Shiyou.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Wyatt Shiyou; his mothelvella N. Shiyou, both of Kiln; three daughters, Maydene S. Hessler of Lake Charles, La, Patricia S. Cuevas and Nancy Shiyou, both of Kiln; two sisters, Shirley S. Pewterson of Necaise Crossing and Dainne S. Cuevas of Kiln; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday evening at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. today to go to Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln for an 11 a.m. celebration of Mass. Burial will be in Bayou Coco Cemetery.
