Staehle, Louis John - December 31, 1997
Louis John Staehle, 68, of New Orleans, died Dec. 31, 1997 in New Orleans.
Mr. Staehle was a native of Bay St. Louis and a resident of New Orleans for 50 years. He was a graduate of St. Stanislaus and Ole Miss.
He was employed by the Fireman's Fund Insurance. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club.
He wasa First Lt. In the Air Force and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalie Edith Sporl and William Adam Staehle.
He is survived by his wife, Sarita Tiblier Staehle; two daughters, Theresa (Penny) S. Colwart, and Aline S. Gray; and one son, Edgar W. Staehle; three sisters, Wilhemnia S. Tudury, Marie Therese S. Autenreith and Georgia Roses S. Williams; two brothers, William Staehle and Charles F. Staehle; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Metairie, La. Visitation will be at the church after 10 a.m.
Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Lakelawn Funeral Home in New Orleans is in charge of arrangements.
