Stevens, Wade S.  -  September 30, 1997

Wade Staehle Stevens, 44, died Tuesday, Sept 30, 1997, in New Orleans.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Episcopal Youth Church fellow leader, former Boy Scout leader, member of the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club, Triangle Hunting Club, Hard to Find Fishing Club and honorary member of Magnolias. He was also an organ tissue donor. Mr. Stevens graduated from Bay High School and Mississippi State University. He was employed as the contract administrator for J. E. Merit at GE Pastics, Port Bienville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Forrest M. Stevens Sr., his maternal grandparents, William A. Staehle and Rosalie Staehle Fredricks, paternal grandparents, Hiram Stuart and Bessie Milner Stevens.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Smith Stevens, a son, Eric James Stevens, a daughter, Laura Katherine Stevens, his parents ,. Phillip and Georgia Rose Staehle Stevens Williams, a brother, Forrest M. Stevans Jr. of Pass Christian; three sisters, Georgia Kathleen Stevens of Mendenhall, Mrs. Anthony (Suzanne) Stevens King of Gulfport, and Mrs. Lisa Stevens Boos, of Daphne, Ala.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct 4, 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Virginia Hall. A memorial funeral service will follow at 5 p.m.at he church, followed by burial in Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.

Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, La. is in charge of arrangements.
