Wainwright, Iona - December 29, 1997
Iona Inez Sones Wainwright, 88, or Waveland, died Monday, Dec 29, 1997, in Bay St. Louis.
Mrs. Wainwright was a native and lifelong resident of Hancock County. She was an avid artist and also crocheted and quilted. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jesse and Lorena Cuevas Sones; and two brothers, Floyd Francis Sones and Earl Anthony Sones.
Survivors include her husband, David H. Wainwright of Waveland.
Visitation was Wednesday evening at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Services will be conducted today at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Bayou LaCroix Cemetery.
Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
