Obituary Record

Ward, Julia  -  April 8, 1896

At an early hour this morning Mrs. Julia Ward was found dead in the rear portion of her yard by one of her neighbors. An inquest was held by Acting Coroner R. D. Wigginton. The jury found death had resulted from organic heart trouble. It is thought Mrs. Ward had gone out late last evening or early this morning to feed her poultry, and living alone, no one knew of her death until the body was discovered. Mrs. Ward had been a resident of Ocean Springs for twenty-six years. She was the widow of the late John M. Ward. Three children survive her, Charles and Albert Ward, and Mrs. J. J. Franco, of Galveston, Texas.
