Withington, Robert J. - July 20, 1999
Robert J. Withington, 84, of Diamondhead, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, in Gulfport.
Mr. Withington came to New Orleans in 1965 after Hurricane Betsy where he began his business, Withington Interior decorating, which flourished in the Garden District. He was a nataive of Canada and had been a resident of Diamondhead since 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel Cottrell Withington.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Withington; a son, Thomas Withington, both of Diamondhead; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis where friends may call 30 minutes before service time. Burial will be private.
