Zerr, Charles  -  September 14, 1955

Charles Zerr, 76, a native of New Orleans but a resident of Bay St. Louis for many years, died Wednesday at 11:45 A. M. at his home on North Beach, Bay St. Louis. He had been ill for some time.

Mr. Zerr, born July 24, 1879, had owned and operated several picture shows along the Coast for many years.

His wife, Mrs. Lillian Ames Zerr, died several months ago. He is survived by two sons, George Zerr, New Orleans; Manuel Zerr, Lake Charles, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Martina Gwartney, Oakdale, La.; one brother, Robert Zerr, New Orleans; and a sister-in-law, Miss Geraldine Ames, Bay St. Louis.

The body will be removed from the Fahey Funeral Home to the North Beach residence where services will be held Friday morning at 9:45 o'clock with 10 o'clock mass at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael J. McCarthy, pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
