Conrad, Paul  -  November 20, 1894

PAUL CONRAD.

The death of Paul Conrad, which occured last Tuesday in New Orleans, was a universal surprise. Mr. Conrad had just returned from a trip to New York which, he assured his friends, had proved greatly beneficial, and the assertion was in no way disclaimed by his good appearance.

To say that his death caused general sorrow is but a mild expression considering how highly he was held in the estimation of those who knew him.

He was, at the time of his death, President of the Honduras Lottery Company and Mount Carmel Orphan Society, mayor of Waveland, a member of the Army of Northern Virginia, of the Army of Tenessee Association, and of Henry St. Paul Camp No. 16. U. C. V.

Mr. Conrad leaves two sons and connections to mourn his loss.
