Avenius, Charles - December 31, 1894
--One of the Bay's best and quietest residents, Mr. Charles Avenius, passed into eternal life on Thursday afternoon, and the remains were largely followed to their last resting place yesterday evening at four o'clock. Mr. Avenius owned and operated the blacksmith and wheelwright shop corner Washington and Hancock streets for a long number of years. He was born in 1817 and was a native of Germany.
