Burns, Margaret (Mickey) Beyer  -  January 20, 2001

Margaret " Mickey" Beyer Burns, 66, of Waveland, died Saturday, January 20, 2001, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

Mickey grew up in Bay St. Louis, graduated form St. Joseph's Academy and attended Pearl River Junior College and Southeastern University in Hammond, LA. Upon marriage to Neal Burns in 1958, she relocated to Texas and Oklahoma where she dedicated her to her husband, children, church and community work with the Meals on Wheels program.

After retirement she and Neal moved back to Waveland to be closer to her mother, the late May Beyer, and her family. She attended St. Augustine's Seminary Chapel in Bay St. Louis.

Mickey is survived by her husband, Neal Burns; her son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Robin Burns of Orlando, Fl.; her daughter, Molly Burns, of Waveland; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Pete Benvenutti of Bay St. Louis; 42 nieces and nephews; one soon-to-be-born grandchild; three granddogs; and a generous circle of friends.

A celebration of Life Mass will held at St. Augustine's Seminary in Bay St. Louis on Saturday, February 3, 2001, at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions can be sent to Poor Clare Sisters, Monastery of St. Clare, 327 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ.
