Obituary Record

The sad news comes as The Echo goes to press of the death of Dr. Frederick Loeber, well-known summer resident of this city, which occurred yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. He was a native of Geissen, Germany, aged 63 years. Dr. Loeber was a leading citizen and physician, the honored head of Touro Infirmary for thirty years. Although a Lutheran and friend of the Jewish church, Dr. Loeber died a Roman Catholic, receiving the last consolations of that church. The funeral will take place from his late residence, 1629 Coliseum street, tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock, New Orleans.
