Campe, August - October 16, 1894
--We regret to have to chronicle the death of Mr. August Campe, who died at his home in Waveland, Tuesday evening at 3:30, aged 70 years. Although he had long been suffering his demise was a surprise to the community.
Mr. Campe came to this country from Bavaria a few years previous to the war a poor man, but with much attention to business he amassed considerable wealth.
Mr. Campe was a master Mason and a honorary member of the fire company.
He was married twice, and to the grief stricken wife who survives him the Echo extends its sympathy.
