Koch, Peter (H. P.)  -  March 12, 1893

Peter Koch, age 28 years, youngest son of Capt. C. D. Koch, after a long and painful illness, died Sunday, the 12th at his home near Rayne, La.

The remains were brought here Wednesday morning and interred in the family burial ground near the old homestead.

During the past winter the deceased contracted a severe cold which despite the tender care of his faithful and devoted wife, continued to grow worse until the case developed into pneumonia with the above result.

Mr. Koch was a devoted husband, loving son and brother, and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and a large number of relatives to mourn his loss.

The remains of Mr. Peter Koch, son of Captain C. D. Koch, of Logtown, who died Monday morning in Louisiana, were interred in the family graveyard at Bogue Homa, Wednesday morning. A large attendance of the friends and acquaintances of the deceased were present. The ceremony was performed by Rev. R. B. Downer. The grief-stricken relatives and friends of the deceased have our sympathies.
