Anderson, Charlie D. - August 29, 1997
Charlie D. Anderson, 78, died Friday, Aug 29, 1997, in Gulfport.
Mr. Anderson was born in Brooklyn and had been a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired welder. He was a member of Henleyfield Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Alfred Alleman Post #2539 VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Andersonn of Gulfport; three daughters, Geraldine Terrell of Perkinston, Shirley Winningham and Julie Mae Lawrence, both of Wiggins; three sons, Don Anderson of Oakvale, Jerry Anderson of Wiggins and Billy Ray Anderson of Bay St. Louis; two stepsons, Joseph McGuire of Reno, Nev., Jimmy McGuire of Gulfport; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Saturday at Davis Cemetery in the Magnolia Community in Stone County.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport was in charge of the arrangements.
