Ramond, William P.  -  February 29, 1928

Death is a respector of neither age nor youth, on the contrary, it seems to love shining mark and only too often the youth, in prime of life and usefulness, falls prey to the reaper's scythe.

William P. Ramond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ramond, and husband of Rosalie Betz passed away Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock after an illness of several months.

He was a native of Bay St. Louis, aged 35 years, 2 months and 26 days He was a member of one of the oldest and best known families in this city, prominently connected, and in addition to his parents and wife is survived by one young daughter.

A member of W. O. W., Cedar Grove Camp, No. 507, the funeral took place Thursday evening, March 1st, under the auspices of the organization, and the funeral ritual by the Catholic church, of which he was a life-long member. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery.

The bereaved parents and immediate family have the sympathy of the community in their hour of sorrow.

Mr. Ramond was connected with the L. & N. Railroad company, serving in capacity of telegraph operator and held responsible positions at different time and places for the company.
