Briggs, Minna W.  -  July 7, 1959

Services were held Wednesday afternoon at Christ Episcopal Church in Bay St. Louis for Mrs. Minna W. Briggs. The Rev. Charles Johnson conducted the service. Interment was in Cedar Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers, second generation members of the family or old friends, were John; Weston, P. E Porter Jr., Paul Lacoste, Leo Seal Jr., J. A. Evans Jr. and David McDonald.

Mrs. Briggs is survived by two sons, Robert W. Briggs of San Antonio, Tex., and Charles Edwin Briggs of Corpus Christi, Tex.; and one daughter, Mrs. Harold B. Weston of Bay St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. W. G. Landers and Mrs. C. H. Williams of Clarksdale, Miss.; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Briggs, 86, had resided in Bay St. Louis for 53 years. At one time she made her home in Phaar, Texas. She was active in the work of the Episcopal Church and served on the board of the Hancock Library, which was one of her main interests.

From out-of-town coming for the funeral, were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Briggs of San Antonio, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Briggs of Corpus Christi, a granddaughter Mrs. Paul Lacoste and Mr. Lacoste of Jackson, Mrs. Landers, and Mrs. Williams of Clarksdale, and other friends from New Orleans and the Coast.
