Cook, Marion - May 14, 2001
Marion Hale Cook, 90, of Bay St. Louis, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, in Bay St. Louis. Mrs. Cook was born in Greenville, S.C. and was a resident of Bay St. Louis since 1964. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Bay St. Louis and the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brig. General John H. Cook, Jr., USMC; her parents, Captaain William H. Sarah Timperley Hale; and a sister, Jessie McNinch.
Survivors include sons John Henry Cook, III, MD of Leesburg, Va. and retired Army Lt. Col. William H. Cook of Purcellville, Va.; a daughter, Princy Harrison of Ellisville, Miss., nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday at Christ Episcopal Church in Bay St. Louis followed by a Memorial Mass. Interment will be June 14 in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of local arrangements. The family prefers memorials to Christ Episcopal Church or a charity of one's choice.
