Cashen, Constance - May 20, 1999
Constance Mae Cashen, 74, of Diamondhead, died Thursday, May 20, 1999 in Jefferson, La.
Mrs. Cashen was a native of New Orleans and a former resident of Houma, La. for eight years. She had been a Diamondhead resident for 11 years. She was a graduate of McMahon High School and received her BS degree from the University of Southwestern. Mrs. Cahen was a laboratory technician for Southern Regional Research Laboratory of the USDA for 10 years until 1957. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Gulf Ctholic Church and was a member of Ataramest Organization for Women and Gulf Coast Golf Women's Asociation.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Norton A. Cashen; two daughters, Melissa Cashen Otto and Melinda Cashen Croft; a sister, Marion Weber of State College, Pa., and three grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at the Metairie Funeral Home of Lamana-Panno-Fallo, followed by interment in St. Louis No. Three Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.
