MRS. CHAPMAN, 82, DIES IN BAY ST. LOUIS

Bay St. Louis, Miss., Aug. 30- Funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Caroline Buckley West Chapman, who died at her home on Washington road Tuesday, at 9 p. m. following an extended illness.

She was the daughter of the late Benjamin J. West and Anna Yoeman Barnett, and was the widow of the late William Joseph Chapman. Mrs. Chapman, native; of New Orleans, lived 51 of her 82 years in Bay St. Louis.

She was buried from the Fahey funeral home at 4 p. m. with religious services at Christ Episcopal church conducted by the Rev. A. E. DeMiller of the Biloxi Episcopal church of the Redeemer.; Interment was in Cedar Rest cemetery.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Henry B. Chapman. Mrs. Alice Chapman Dupaquier, Mrs. Virginia Chapman Watts, of Bay St. Louis; Mrs. Lillian Chapman Marshall of Gulfport; Lawrence Y. Chapman, New Orleans, Wallace Chapman. Biloxi: Mrs. Helen Chapman Penrose, Waveland. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. L. W. Chapman, New Orleans, 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
