Charlot, Capt. James - July 22, 1896
Capt. James Charlot, a native of Bay St. Louis but for a long time a resident of Pass Christian, died in that city Wednesday morning. Though colored, Capt. Jim, as he was familiarly known all along the coast, was highly esteemed by white and black alike.
