Coker, Gladys Fillingame  -  June 11, 1999

Gladys Fillingame Coker, 87, of Diamondhead, died Friday, June 11, 1999, in Gulfport.

Mrs. Coker was a native of Summrall, Miss., and a longtime resident of Canton, Miss. She resided in Diamondhead for the past three years. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Diamondhead Baptist Church in Diamondhead.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Cornelius Coker, Sr; her parents, Elijah Bert and Olivia Watts Fillingame; and two brothers, W. W. Fillingame and Bill Fillingame.

Survivors incude a son, Fletcher Coker, Jr. of Diamondhead; two daughters, Patricia Ann Coker Pildner of Greenwich, Conn. and Mary Beth Coker Barrentine of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 14 from 10-11 a.m. at the Diamondhead Baptist Church in Diamondhead. A service will be held at Diamondhead Baptist Church at 11 a.m.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Highland Cemetery, Hattiesburg, Miss.

Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
