Acker, Corine - June 29, 1999
Corine Acker, 79, of Pearlington, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, in Slidell.
Mrs. Acker was a native of Logtown and was retired from Head Start. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of household of Ruth No. 217 and a member of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Acker; and her mother, Elizabeth Johnson.
Survivors include three sons, Walter Acker and Clarence Acker, both of Pearlington, and Leroy Acker of Wiggins; six daughters, Diane Nicholson, Debra Fulton, Jacqueline Bradley, all of Pearlington, Catherine Acker of Waveland, Andrelle Nicholson of Hattiesburg, and Philomena Reed of Newport News, Va.; a brother, Henry Totts of Gulfport; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Baylous Funeral Home in Picayune was in charge of arrangements.
