Davis, James Sr. - December 2, 1997
James Barwell Davis, Sr., 80, of Clermont Harbor, died Tuesday, December 2, 1997, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Davis was a native of New Orleans and was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Lakeshore and a member of the American Legion Post 77 in Waveland. He retired from Louisiana Coca Cola Bottling Co. And was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Davis and Orele Braniff Davis; and a daughter, Catherine Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Ruddock Davis of Clermont Harbor; sons Everett John Davis II of Mandeville, La., James B. Davis of Destrehan , La., Lawrence M. Davis of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Daniel A. Davis of Slidell; daughters Dolly Davis Boudreax of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Alma Davis Benoit of Richardson, Texas; sisters Catherine Davis DeCossas of Metairie, Rosanna Davis Soldani Aguilera of Chalmette; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday evening at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:35 a.m. today for funeral services to be conducted 10 a.m. at St Ann Catholic Church in Lakeshore. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Bay St. Louis.
