Davis, Pemberton - April 17, 1948
Pemberton Davis, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pemberton Davis of this city died suddenly at his work at Pass Christian at noon on Tuesday, April 13.
Mr. Davis was a resident of this city and was unmarried.
He is survived by three sisters, Sister Edith of St. Joseph Academy, Mrs. C. L. Donner and Mrs. Louise Spencer of New Orleans; four brothers, Earl Davis of Ponchatoula.,; La., Jasper Davis of St. Augustine; Florida; John Davis of Alexandria, La.; and Eugene Davis of Bay St. Louis. He also leaves several nieces and nephews one of whom is Brother Wallace of New Jersey.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from Fahey Funeral Home the Rev. Father A. J. Gmelch officiating. Interment was in Cedar Rest Cemetery.
The Davis family were residents of this city for many years and the sons and daughters were educated in the schools here. To the family the Echo extends sincere sympathy in the death of this estimable man.
