Dechamp, Thephanie Peterson  -  June 14, 1960

Mrs. T. H. Dechamp, 79, the former Thephanie Peterson, a resident of Rt. 1 Box 198, Pass Christian, in the White Cypress community, died this morning at 3?35 o'clock at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. She was a native of Hancock County, born Feb. 6, 1881.

Mrs. Dechamp was a member of the White Cypress Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. J. Cuevas, Gulfport and Mrs. Arthur Garcia, Bay St. Louis, Bay St. Louis; Five sons, Purvis Dechamp, Fenton community; Lester Dechamp Lurster Dechamp, and Elvis Dechamp, Pass Christian; and H. J. Dechamp, Memphis, Tenn.; 37 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. L. C. Cuevas and Mrs. Alcide Garriga, Fenton; Mrs. Norma Cuevas, Pass Christian; and one brother, Claude Peterson, Bay St. Louis.

The body will be taken from Riemann's Funeral Home in Gulfport this afternoon to the family residence at White Cypress. The funeral is tentatively set for Wednesday afternoon at the home followed by religious rites in White Cypress Catholic Church. Interment will be in Rotten Bayou.
