Dickson, Pearl Bennett  -  March 9, 1954

Mrs. Pearl Bennett Dickson, 55, died at Foundation Hospital in New Orleans Tuesday afternoon where she has been for the past week as the result of burns received at her home in Bay St. Louis.

She was the daughter of the late Lavra Woodward Bennett and Thomas R. Bennett of Logtown.

She is survived by her husband, Laurent Dickson, owner of the Dickson Drug Company, Bay St. Louis, and a stepson, Jerry L. Dickson, New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. I. H. Rouse, Hattiesburg, and Mrs. Douglas Neill, Gulfport; four brothers, J. W. Bennett, Paducah, Ky., W. S. Bennett, Atlanta, Ga., and W. T. and C. K. Bennett. Gulfport.

Mrs. Dickson was a past president of the 8 et 40 Coast Salon of the American Legion, and a member of the Clement R. Bontemps Post 139 American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held from Fahey Funeral Home Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock with Rev. S. M. Batson, pastor of the Baptist Church, Bay St. Louis; and Rev. P. S. Dodge, pastor of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Gulfport. officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
