Fabella, David F.  -  November 27, 1997

David F. Fabella, 90, of Waveland, died Thursday, Nov 27, 1997, in Pass Christian.

Mr. Fabella, a native of Banton Romblon, Phillippine Islands, was a former resident of New Orleans, LA, and a resident of Waveland since 1977. He was retired from the Merchant Marine and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church and was a president of the Filipino-American Association and was a fourth degree of the Knights of Columbus in Bay St. Louis.

Mr. Favella was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine L. Martin Fabella; a brother, Lawrence Fabella; and a sister, Fesing Dimatulac.

Survivors include his wife, Remedois R. Fabella of Waveland, two stepsons, Rolando Bonifacio and his wife, Fely, of San Diege, CA, and Reynaldo Bonifacio and his wife, Linda, of Slidell, La, eight stepdaughters, Mrs. Mat Penaflor of San Diego, Ca, Mrs. Ed Santillan, Mrs. Joe Salazar, Mrs. Sonny Lalic, all of the Phillipine Islands, Mrs. Bill Kalinczok, of Rice Lake, WI.Mrs. Ken Hara of Los Angeles, Ca, Mrs. Jose Isiip of Waveland, Mrs. Gabby Lozada, of Las Vegas, Nv; a brother Ruben F. Faeldog, of the Philippine Islands; a sister, Frenanda Fernsando, of Calgary, Canada; 32 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec 1, 1997, at the Riemann Funeral Home, U. S. Highway 90, Bay St. Louis. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m.

The funeral possession will leave the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday and will go to the St. Clare Catholic Church for the celebration of the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at Lakelawn-Park Cemetery in New Orleans, La.
