Freeman, Charles  -  January 9, 1999

Charles Frederick Freeman, 74, of Kiln, died Saturday, Jan 9, 1999, in Diamondhead.

Mr. Freeman was a native of Oklahoma City, Okla., and had been a resident of Kiln for the past 10 years. He was a member of Shhifalo Baptist Church in Kiln and was a brick mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Turner Freeman; his parents, Wyatt and Hattie Mae Freeman; a brother, Willy Freeman; and two sisters, Betty Freeman and Doris Philpot.

Survivors include five daughters, Katherine Freeman of California, Pamela Freeman of Amarillo, Texas, Paul Jones of Houston, Texas, Nancy Necaise of Kiln and Joyce Lingo of Pearl River, La; three brothers, Clarence Freeman of Biloxi, Jerry Freeman and Wayne Freeman, both of Snellville, Ga.; four sisters, Delores Ditmore of Charlotte, N. C., Val Benson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Shirley Ann Freeman of Las Vegas, and Mary Joiner of Lawton, Okla; numberous grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren".

Visitation was Monday evening at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Services were conducted Tuesday at Shifalo Baptist Church. Burial was in Bayou Coco Cemetery in Kiln.
