Giveans, Joseph A. - December 27, 1996
Joseph A. Giveans, 70, of Bay St. Louis, died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996 in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Giveans was a native of New Orleans and a veteran of World War II (Army and Navy). He was a resident of Bay St. Louis for 18 years and was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Hilda Giveans; a son, Alcee Joseph Giveans; and two brothers, Sammy Giveans and Andrew Giveans.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Giveans of Bay St. Louis; a son, Isadore Joseph Giveans of Tamps Fla; a daughter, Lillie M. Tzuanos of Pearlington; a barother, Isadore Giveans of Pearlington; two sisters, Althea Heaphy and Lucille Francis, both of Slidell, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Saturday in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport.
Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis was in charge of arrangements.
