Griffis, Leon H. - April 11, 1999
Leon Harvey Griffis, 48, of Bay St. Louis, died Sunday, April 11, 1999, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Griffis was a native of Douglas, Ga. and a resident of Bay St. Louis. He was a Baptist and U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Foy Mae Hines Griffis
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer H. Griffis of Bay St. Louis; a son, Michael Van Dyke of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Jessica Lynn Griffis of Hammond, La.; and Heather Lee Griffis and Stefanie Nicole Griffis, both of Bay St. Louis; a brother, James Byran of Georgia; two sisters, Cecil Grantham of Hernando, Fla., and Winifred Griffis of Dunnellon, Fla; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 9-11 a.m. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. in Biloxi National Cemetery.
