Jenks, Paula Von Gohren - December 12, 1957
Services were held Friday, Dec. 13, at 1:45 p. m. from. Fahey Funeral Home followed by religious services from Christ Episcopal Church for Mrs. Paula Von Gohren Jenks, widow of the late W. W. Jenks, of Mobile, Ala., and mother of John M. Jenks, of New Orleans, La. Interment in Cedar Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenks who died in Mercy Hospital, New Orleans, Thursday, Dec. 12 at 12:20 p. m. was one of Bay St. Louis' long standing prominent matrons. A founder of the Episcopal Church when it was first established in Cedar Point, and a worker in the church until shortly before her death.
After the death of her husband, she made her home with her sister the late Mrs. Walter Gex, Sr., and her nieces Misses Ethel and Stella Gex. She was the aunt of Lucien M. and Walter Gex, Jr., and of the late Mrs. Wena Gex Philips. Also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews.
