Becker, Andy - May 24, 1999
Andy Joseph Becker, 81, of Bay St. Louis, died Monday, May 24, 1999, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Becker was a native of New Orleans and had been a longtime resident of Bay St. Louis. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, the American Legion Post 139 and Knights of Columbus in Bay St. Louis. Mr. Becker was a veteran of the U. S. Army , serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was retired in 1972 as Post Master o the U. S. Postal Seervice, Main Street, Bay St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy Joseph and Elizabeth Fiendel Becker Sr., and a sister, Joyce Becker Hefferman.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria Swanner Becker; a daughter, Mary Ann Becker, both of Bay St. Louis; a sister, Sister Rose Marie Becker, CSJ, of New Orleans; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday evening at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.
A funeral procession will leave Edmond Fahey Funeral Home today at 10:40 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Mass of Chritian Burial at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
