Jones, William Lee, Sr. - July 25, 1984
William Lee Jones, Sr., 75, of Madison, AL, died Sunday, 7-25-1984, in Huntsville, AL.
Visitors may call Wednesday from 9 A. M. until service time at 11 A. M. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was a native of Rutherfordton, NC, and had lived on the Coast for 40 years. He was a professional musician and a motel manager.
He played with the house bands at the Old Plaza Club, the Broadwater, and the Buena Vista Club. He also played at the Jung Club in New Orleans.
He was manager of the Sea Gull Motel before moving to Huntsville. He attended Duke University and was a veteran of World War II and a Methodist.
Survivors include a son, William Lee Jones, Jr., of Madison; his mother, Mrs. Bess Sheehan Jones; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Jones Putnam, bother of Rutherfordton.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Luke Jones.
