Kidd, Lucien W.  -  February 26, 1997

Lucien W. Kidd, 77, of Bay St. Louis, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, in Bay St. Louis.

Mr. Kidd was a native of Puerto Castilla, Spanish Honduras, Central America and a World War II Air Force veteran. He was Hancock County Civil Defense Director from 1969-73 and served as utility Commission Post No. l for the City of Bay St. Louis from 1973-77. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post No. 139 in Bay St. Louis and a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph and Grace Alexander Kidd; two brothers, Rueben Kidd and Raymond Kidd; and two sisters, Carmen Mitchell and Nellie Loiacono.SCESurvivors include his wife, Beryl K. Kidd of Bay St. Louis; his son and daughter-in-law, William A. and Janet Kidd of Houston; his son, Lucien John Kidd of Bay St. Louis; his daughters and sons-in-law,Geraldine K. and Jonm Ritherford and Jenet K. and Donnie Freeman, all of Bay St. Louis; Diana K. and Howard McNeill and Lucinda and Bud Lang, all of Gulfport; a brother, H. A. Kidd of Bay St. Louis; 'a sister, Phyllis Seuzeneau of Bay St. Louis; 19 Grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery.

Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis was in charge of the arrangements.
