Belsome, James Sr. - February 10, 1999
James L. Belsome Sr., 75, of Waveland, died Wednesday, Feb 10, 1999 in Kenner.
Mr. Belsome was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland. He was a native of Hanville, La and a resident of Waveland for the past 26 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 77, Waveland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Marie Belsome; a son, Daniel S. Foy Jr., his parents, Achille John and Edna Friloux Belsome; and five sisters, Edna Benoit, Doris Liljeberg, Ruth Horn, Sophie Brady and Germaine Belsome.
Survivors include three sons, Jams L. Belsome Jr. of Kenner, Russell J. Belsome of Destrehan and Edmond J. Foy of Metairie; three daughters, Suzanne B. Harmon of Baton Rouge, Susan A Sales of Gulfport and Henrietta M. Foy of Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters, Stella Boutte of Lake Charles, La., Marjorie Troxler of Taft, La-. 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday evening at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with an American Legion Post 77 Waveland service.
A prayer service was conducted Friday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Waveland City Cemetery.
