Lindsey, Henry S.  -  November 29, 1960

Henry Spurgeon Lindsey, 68, died about 6 P. M. Tuesday at the Gulfport Veterans Administration, where he had been a patient since 1954. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Christine Ziz Lindsey, who died last June 21.

Born in Pineville on Aug. 28, 1892, Mr. Lindsey was a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was a retired L & N Railroad employee in Long Beach, a member of the Pineville Presbyterian Church and a veteran of World War I, serving with the U. S. Army.

He is survived by six brothers, Frank Lindsey, Long Beach; the Rev. Edward A. Lindsey, Bay St. Louis; Harold D. Lindsey, Pineville; Ewart G. Lindsey, English Lindsey, and Monroe Lindsey, all of Gulfport; and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Meuther, Pass Christian; Mrs. Donna Walker, Huntsville, Ala.; and Miss Helen Lindsey, Pineville.

The body will be taken to the Riemann's Funeral Home Chapel in Pass Christian at 5 o'clock this afternoon. Services will be held from Riemann's Chapel in Pass Christian at 2 P. M. Thursday with the Rev. T. J. Wharton, pastor of Pineville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian.
