McAlister, Dan - September 15, 1998
Dan McAlister, 59, of Waveland, died Tuesday, Sept 15, 1998, in Waveland.
Mr. McAlister was a native of Hartwell, Ga., and was retired from the Oceanographic Office after 15 years of service. He was a member of Sportsman's Cb, Fantasy Race Car Club, American Legion Posts 139 in Bay St. Louis and VFW Post 3253 in Bay St. Louis. He was a volunteer in children's sports activities in Hancock County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Roselle McAlister.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Castelin and Deborah Seitz, both of Waveland and Kelly Powell of Bay St. Louis; a brother, Robert McAlister of Anderson, SC; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation was Friday evening at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, followed by graveside services in Biloxi National Cemetery.
