McBee, Ruth A. - August 22, 1998
Mrs. Ruth A. McBee, 74, of Diamondhead, died Saturday, Aug 22, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mrs. McBee was a native of Bassfield, Miss. She was a member of VFW Post 2880 Ladies Auxiliary, was a life member of DV Chapter 50 and was a former member and president of Diamondhead Women's Gulf Association. She won the Club Championship in 1983 and was an avid golfer. Mrs. McBee was a World War II Veteran having served in the U. S. Navy Waves.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Like and Lela McPhail Anderson; and a brother, Jeames Austin Anderson.
Survivors include her hudabnd, Robert C. McBee of Diamondhead; a son, Dr. Robert D. McBee, PhD, of Wichita Falls, Texas; a brother, Charles Anderson of Hattiesburg, three sisters, Virginia Easterling of Pascagoula, Hazel Powell and Imogene Shaw, both of Mobile; and a granddaughter.
Graveside serviced were conducted Monday in Biloxi National Cemetery.
Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis was in charge of arrangements.
