Bermond, Harold Leo  -  June 28, 1999

Harold Leo Bermond, 73, of Bay St. Louis, died Monday, June 28, 1999, in Gulfport.

Mr. Bermond was a native and lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis. He was a member of our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, VFW Post No. 3253, American Legion Post No. 139, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1522, all in Bay St. Louis. He was employed with Halter Mariene Shipyarde and was a self-employed paint contractor. Mr. Bermond was a veteran of World War II and was honored with a Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce L. Asher Bermond; a daughter, Shona Marie Bermond; and three brothers, Euene Bermond, Shelton L. Bermond and Rene R. Bemond Jr.

Survivors include a son, Harold E. Bermond of Gulfport; two daughters, Debra Bermond Carr of Bay St. Louis and Sharon Bermond Peterson of Gulfport; a brother, James L. Hobbs of Kenner, La; two sisters, Margaret Bermond Hover of Gulfport and Roberta Bermond Shepard of Granby, Conn.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 1999, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 p.m. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.

A Funeral Procession will leave the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 1999 at 10:40 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.

Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, Ms is in charge of the arrangements.
