Moran, James Sylvester - July 4, 1959
James Sylvester Moran, 67, lifelong resident of Hancock County, died at 4:45 p.m. July 4 at his home in Bay St. Louis.
Services were at 2:30 p.m. July 6 at Fahey-Whitfield Funeral Home with burial at Rotten Bayou Cemetery, Pass Christian. Nephews were pallbearers. Dr. Franklin Atkinson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiated.
Mr. Moran is survived by his wife, Haphie Smith Moran; a daughter, Mrs. Irma Cook of New Smyrna Beach, Fla,; a stepson, Willard Favre of Pass Christian; a half brother, Jessie Sones of Bayou La Croix; and a half sister, Mrs. Liza Luxich of Lakeshore; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
