Morris, John Murphy - 1957
Roger, Carl and George Heitzmann served Wednesday afternoon as Pallbearers at the funeral of their uncle John Murphy Morris, who died Monday afternoon at his residence in Gulfport.
Funeral services for Mr. Morris, who was 67 years of age at the time of his death were held Wednesday afternoon at four o'clock from Reimann's Chapel, Gulfport with the Rev. J. N. Ulmer, pastor of the Burton Memorial Methodist Church and Reverend Lamar Martin pastor of Mississippi City Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Also attending the funeral services from Bay St. Louis, were Mrs. John Damborino and her mother, Mrs. Pauline Heitzmann, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Heitzmann, Jr.; Mrs. Geo. Heitzmann.
Mr. Morris is survived by his wife Mrs. Myrtle Heitzmann Morris, one daughter Mrs. Dorothy Rand, Raleigh, North Carolina, and three sons John Morris, Jr., Edward and Norman Morris, all of Gulfport.
