Raley, Grover D. - June 11, 1959
Grover D. Raley, 71, native Baldwin County, Ala., and resident of Biloxi for many years, died at 3 p.m. Thursday at his home in Bay St. Louis where he had been for 15 years. He was prepared to come to Biloxi to attend the funeral of A. J. Garland when he was stricken with a heart attack and died shortly afterward.
Mr. Raley was a retired Mississippi Power Co. employe and is survived by his wife, Hazel St. Amant Raley; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon Switzer, Bay St. Louis, and a grandchild; three brothers, George, Biloxi; Leon, Ocean Springs, and Dave, Mobile; and two sisters, Mrs. Sophronia Thornton, Biloxi and Mrs. Ella Banks, Lake Jackson, Texas.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from Bradford Funeral Home with services by the Rev. Lloyd Harden, East End Methodist Church. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park.
