Boucree, Thaddeus Stanice - January 14, 1996
Boucree, Thaddeus Stanice, a retired, self-employed general contractor, died Sunday at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital. He was 98.
Mr. Boucree was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from McDonogh No. 35 Senior High School. He received the St. Louis Medal. Mr. Boucree designed and contracted the Grotto in Bay St. Louis, Miss. and the Wayside Sacred Heart Shrine and Stations of the Cross along U.S. 90 in Bay St. Louis. He was treasurer of the Knights of Peter Claver Council 29 and a founding member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Redeemer and St. Philip the Apostle Catholic churches. He was 9th Ward air raid warden during World War II.
Survivors include four sons, Thaddeus C., Lloyd P., Stanley A. and Joseph B. Boucree; five daughters, Marie Annunciata, Nolma B. Diamond, Pearl B. and Mary B. Devezin and Glendora B. Ruiz; two sisters, Delores B. Lagarde and Myrtle B. Harrison; 26 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
A Mass will be said Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 3300 Metropolitan St. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery No. 2. Charbonnet-Labat Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
