Yesterday noon at 12:15 o'clock, died at his residence, Mr. A. Tomasich, who had been seriously sick to his bed for the past two months, dying from consumption by a cold contracted long ago.
Not altogether unexpected, yet the demise of so long a resident and estimable citizen was received as very sad news and suddenly. Mr. Tomasich was about 68 years of age, born in Austria. He was a seafaring man and spent his time following that chosen life.
Besides a widow he leaves two married daughters and two sons, one of the ladies residing in New Orleans and the other is Mrs. Pere, and the sons are A. G. Tomasich of this place, and J. J. Tomasich, in the newspaper business at Scranton where he is shut in by the quarantine.
The interment took place this morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Father Alphonse officiating. The pall bearers were Messrs. F. J. Ladner, J. F. Cazeneuve, A. deMontluzin, Geo. H. Combel, and Dr. W. B. Rohmer.
The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
