Obituary Record
Vonau, Joseph - July 4, 1897
After an illness extending over a period of about six weeks, Mr. Joseph Vonau died at 11 o'clock A. M. Wednesday and was interred in the Catholic cemetery the morning following, the Rev. Father Alphonse officiating.
Mr. Vonan, an Alsace, was born 57 years ago and came here when quite young. By close application to his duties, the highest integrity, the man of this good model gained much of this world's goods and leaves his family in comfortable circumstances.
He was a devout member of the Catholic faith, belonged to the Catholic Knights and St. Joseph's associations, and his absence to these will be keenly felt.
Peace to his ashes.
