Bourgeois, William Lucien - January 6, 1957
William Lucien Bourgeois, 83, aj former member of the city administration, died Sunday evening, Jan. 6, at 7:45 o'clock at the King's Daughters Hospital, Bay St. Louis, following a long illness.
Mr. Bourgeois, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Bay St. Louis for 62 years, served as a city commissioner many years ago. He resided on North Beach street
He was the husband of the late Abrigail Bourgeois and son of the late Mary Octavia Laziere and Evarist Bourgeois. He is survived by four sons, William Douglas Bourgeois, Bay St. Louis; Dan Evarist Bourgeois and Hugh Roger Bourgeois, both of Gulfport; Paul Clement Bourgeois, Wilmington, Cal.; two daughters, Mrs. C. A. Breath, Bay St. Louis, and Mrs. L. A. Rogers, Hattiesburg; three sisters, Mrs. Edwina Ahern, Mrs. Robert Dubuc, and Mrs. George Geisler, New Orleans; three brothers. Philip Bourgeois, New Orleans; Joe and Placide Bourgeois, Waveland; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 9:45 o'clock from Fahey Funeral Home, followed by religious rites at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Interment will be in Cedar Rest Cemetery.
