Obituary Record

EDWARDS--Died, on Sunday, February 6, 1901, at one o'clock p. m., John Edwards, aged seventy-three years, two months and twenty five days, a native of Plymouth, Eng., and a resident of this country for the past sixty years.

In the death of Mr. Edwards the county loses one of its grandest citizens, and 1 years after he will have been gone his memory will remain as fresh as today for his worth and sterling qualities as a citizen and head of a family. No man adhered more strictly to those things that are just and upright than he; none practiced more consistently the doctrine of doing unto others as he would have them do him, and it can truly be said that the world is better for his having lived in it. May his slumber be peaceful.
